Headquartered in Phoenix, Not Just Serving It

AZ Alarm Company’s office is at 3120 W. Carefree Hwy in north Phoenix. Our technicians are direct employees who start and end their day here, not a regional crew dispatched from another city or a subcontractor found by a national brand.

We also do not sell or subcontract our monitoring agreements, so the company you call about your Phoenix system is the same one that installed it.

Phoenix Alarm Rules, in Plain English

Phoenix is stricter than most Valley cities about alarms, and some of its rules land on the alarm company, not just the homeowner.

Alarm Permit Required

Phoenix requires an alarm permit. The city’s published fee is $17, with a $17 renewal. An alarm without a permit is billed for every police response.

Enhanced Call Verification

Before police are sent to a burglar alarm, the monitoring center must call at least two different phone numbers. Fire, holdup, robbery, panic, and duress alarms are exempt. Keep your contact list current so those calls reach someone.

False Alarm Fees

The first false alarm is a warning. After that, the published fee is $96 for each false burglar alarm and $105 for each false fire alarm. The city holds the subscriber and the alarm company jointly responsible, which is exactly why we take training seriously.

Someone On Scene in 30 Minutes

City code expects a responsible party to arrive within thirty minutes of an activation to help police or fire secure the property. Worth deciding who that is before you ever need them.

Requirements and fees as published in Phoenix City Code Chapter 10, Article IX. Confirm current amounts with the City of Phoenix, or read our full Phoenix alarm permit guide.

Have used AZ Alarm for 3 years. Always helpful from sales to service. Service is especially responsive and always makes sure that my security system is functioning properly. They have been honest with me and I never have felt that AZ Alarm tried to take advantage of me. They always take the time to make sure I am fully trained on managing my security system. Well done. 5 stars.
